Living in Tel-Aviv – The “White City”

The ‘White City’- a city that never sleeps- Tel Aviv has been often associated with the best food scene, great shops, unique museums, a never-ending beach life, outdoor living, late-nights, and with a concentration of Bauhaus architecture and green, tree-lined boulevards and streets. Tel Aviv has a magic of its own that is hard to truly compare to any other city and everyone who comes to visit Israel tends to fall in love with Tel Aviv. It’s different neighborhoods and quarters within the city proper, such as Neve Tzedek, Rothschild + the White City, the city center, the Yemenite quarter and beach areas, Florentin, Jaffa and the Old North, just to name a few, really help people- who buy a home in Tel Aviv or even those visiting- feel confident in knowing that there is something unique for everyone.

An amalgamation of old and new- each neighborhood has its own something special. The White City is has the best restaurants and most beautiful Bauhaus architecture buildings of Tel Aviv, the Neve Tzedek neighborhood of Tel Aviv has colorful alleyways and high-end shops, the Yemenite quarter and beachside areas are ideal for those that want to wake up with a nice seaview and hear the “matkot” paddles over their hummus bowls in the Carmel Market after a nice beach day, Florentin is downtown Tel Aviv and is ideal for the young artsy couple or out-of-the-army Tel Avivian, and the Old North is ideal for the growing family who wants peace-and-quiet, just to name a few. Our job at Montefiore Real Estate Group is to guide our clients to the most suitable Tel Aviv neighborhood when they are looking to buy, based on their tastes, budgets, hobbies, ages, and much more. Seeing each neighborhood day in and day out and watching our clients settle into their new Tel Aviv home, and seeing how well it matches their personality is a gift we very much cherish. So, which neighborhood of Tel Aviv do you think speaks most to you?
